Kalliope is a brand new trio featuring guitarist Matt Gudgeon (Perth), drummer Ebs Daramola (Los Angeles/USA) and Marley Donnan-Cook (Perth/Melbourne) on bass. They are already gathering a following throughout Perth and Fremantle. Kalliope is described as “Jazz that you can still dance to” with the trio taking influences from RnB, Drum & Bass and World music, and combining them with their love of Jazz music.
This project is an opportunity for these rhythm-section players to spread their wings and create freely.
With a new album on the way, Kalliope will be one to keep an eye on.
