The exceptional talents of Rai Thistlethwayte and Ben Vanderwal collide once more for this show in Perth, where the pair first met in 2013. Immerse yourself in an oh-so-groovy framework of Thistlethwayte’s keyboard wizardry and jazz-infused vocals (with some gratuitous left-hand synth bass action) entwined with Vanderwal’s unique and intricate beats.
Shortly after their first meeting, the pair headed into Soundbaker Studios in Perth where they recorded an EP entitled Escargot. It was released independently in April 2014 and the two artists have since taken the outfit on multiple Australian tours. With their experimental, jazz-tinged originals and infectious grooves, this is a show not to be missed.
