Two of WAAPA’s fourth-year recitalists, Bob Tweedie and Sam Forster strut their stuff accompanied by some of Perth’s finest jazz musicians.

Sam Forster brings his four years at WAAPA to a close with a great set of original compositions and modern arrangements of jazz classics. Throughout his time at WAAPA, Sam has performed in Jazz in the Theatre, Musical theatre productions, the Life River Project, the Torn Edge concert, Perth International Jazz Festival, and the 2019 New York University summer jazz camp.

Outside of WAAPA, Sam has developed his career with weekly contemporary gigs, playing in WAYJO’s Wednesday and Tuesday Night Orchestra’s and putting together his trio, Outpost.

Bob Tweedie is a jazz pianist who is absolutely obsessed with music. Drawing influence from the likes of Tigran Hamasyan, Brad Mehldau and Ari Hoenig, Bob strives to capture a modern and innovative sound, and is keen to show you what he’s been working on for the last four years. Join him and his very best talented friends as he puts his experiments to the test.
