The Nueva Salsa Orchestra has the reputation of being Perth’s hottest salsa band. Formed in 2011 by its musical director and trumpet player Marty Pervan, the NSO is comprised of some of Australia’s finest musicians who have performed in numerous local, national and international musical projects. The Nueva Salsa Orchestra continuously blow audiences away at sell-out festivals, community events and private functions all over Western Australia. With a repertoire consisting of high energy salsas, mambos, bombas and cha-chas, the NSO are guaranteed to have you moving your body to the infectious rhythms of their fabulously talented percussion and rhythm section, sparkling horns a-plenty, and the sublime vocal stylings of Adolfo Chavez. The NSO also features Erin Royer (alto saxophone), Kieran Hurley (trombone), Jess Herbert (baritone saxophone), Steve Richter (timbales), Marcus Perrozzi (bongos/hand percussion), Iain Robbie (congas), Bob Tweedie (keys) and Arvis Del Vedado (bass).
