A multi-award-winning seven-piece ensemble presenting original compositions influenced by Afro-Peruvian rhythms, and fresh, unique arrangements of traditional Peruvian folk songs. Founded in Miami in 2011 by acclaimed Australian drummer/composer Daniel Susnjar and ignited by extensive touring and research in Peru, USA and the Caribbean, the ensemble continually pushes forward with innovative ways to express artistic sensibilities from the Afro-Peruvian and jazz musical traditions.

The results include multiple award wins – WAM Awards (2016, 17, 18 & 20), APRA/AMCOS Art Music Awards (2017 & 19) 2 x Australian Jazz Bell Awards (2015), WAM Jazz Song of the Year (2015) – the release of four critically-acclaimed albums (Su Su Nje, Moth to a Flame, Spark & The Recipe), extensive touring throughout the USA and Australia, and collaborations with world-class musicians including Grammy award-winning trumpeter Brian Lynch (Art Blakey), percussion legends Alex Acuña (Weather Report) and Sammy Figueroa (Miles Davis), and Peruvian cajon icon Freddy “Huevito” Lobaton.
