CARL COX

A legend of the global DJ scene, Carl Cox has been entrancing crowds from Manchester to Melbourne in a career that spans decades. Exploring his early love of disco as a mobile DJ while still in his teens, he was soon swept up in the rare groove, New York hip hop and electro world alongside other London DJs in the early ’80s. But it was early Chicago House that had him hooked, and he would soon become a founder of the techno sound that buoyed the British rave scene in the late ’80s and ’90s. The producer and record label founder is also synonymous with Ibiza, with an epic 15-year DJ residency at Space that helped it become one of the biggest clubs in the world. Carl is still one of the most in-demand DJs in the world.

ERIC POWELL

Eric Powell emerged from Manchester’s Summer of Love in the late 1980s, a scene built on acid house that fuelled raves across the UK. Cutting his teeth in all of Manchester’s leading clubs, including the legendary Hacienda, Eric soon became one of the most sought-after guest DJs in the UK. That reputation quickly went global with gigs across Europe, touring Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands, as well as Asia and the US. In 1993, Eric co-founded Bush Records, producing house and techno and introducing audiences to artists including Dave Clarke, Felix the Housecat and Rozzo. Having played the legendary Bondi Beach New Year’s Eve party in Sydney in 1999, Eric is now largely based in Australia when not performing around the world.
